FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncourology, and can be used to prevent lymphorrhea arising after radical prostatectomy. Radical prostatectomy involves the removal of the tumor and iliac-obturative-pelvic lymphadenectomy. At the end of the surgery, the wound surface is treated with fibrin glue, which is applied to the hemostatic sponge. Performing the application of a sponge on a dry wound surface along the boundaries of the lymphadenectomy. After 2-3 minutes, sponge is removed and the wound is sutured layer by layer.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the number of postoperative complications, to reduce the formation of lymphocele (seroma) and to shorten the timing of lymphorrhea, while reducing the period of postoperative rehabilitation, which contributes to the early activation of the patient.
