FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electrical engineering to increase reliability of power supply to consumers in conditions of weighted operating mode of overhead lines. Device for increasing overhead capacity of an overhead line includes a current sensor - a current transformer, the output of which is connected to a comparator, a contactor, the input of which is connected to a comparator, and output is with alarm device. Device is equipped with overhead line parameters accounting unit, which forms on the basis of the line parameters contained in it the setting value for temporary operation of the overhead line under operating conditions with maximum allowable heating temperature, input of overhead parameters accounting unit is connected to output of free power monitoring unit located in distribution point, and output - to comparator, as soon as signal from current sensor becomes equal to setting, contactor disconnects required number of non-priority load queues.
EFFECT: technical result is prevention of forced disconnection of overload line by protective devices and provision of uninterrupted power supply to consumers due to temporary operation of overhead line under conditions of weighted operating mode with maximum permissible temperature of heating, at the limit of possibility, including under conditions of mechanical strength and permissible temperature by condition of preservation of dimensions.
