SUBSTANCE: invention relates to audio signal spectral processing means. Spectrum of the audio signal is obtained and information related to the fine structure of the spectrum is identified, the fine structure of the spectrum being related to local maxima and/or minimums of the spectrum. Determining similarity in said thin structure. Similarity is determined using the first segment and using the second information segment related to the fine structure, wherein the first and second segments are shifted by the number of spectrum readings. Providing information indicating that the audio signal has a predetermined characteristic, depending on the similarity score.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the efficiency of audio signal processing.
