FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: increased resistance working electrode for electrohydraulic and electric pulse devices is designed for process equipment, using phenomena accompanying powerful electric discharge in liquid for crushing stone, concrete, stamping, obtaining fertilizers, disinfecting water, and so forth. Persistent working electrode for electrohydraulic and electric pulse devices is conductor in form of rod surrounded by insulating shell along entire length except ends, in which in order to multiple increase in operating life of working electrode and to prevent its destruction from regular action of electrohydraulic impacts working electrode rod consists in shell from insulator, made so that between core and insulating shell to create gap, in which gas is continuously injected, and injected gas formed gas cavity at end of working electrode, and gas formed gas jets jet, flowing out of holes in insulating shell with formation of cocoon from emerging bubbles of gas in liquid around insulating shell to prevent destruction of insulating shell from regular action of electrohydraulic impacts.
EFFECT: technical result is increased time of continuous operation of electrohydraulic and electric pulse devices.
