FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bending machine for production of metal product of curved shape by means of wire rod processing and a method of producing a metal article of a curved shape by processing a wire rod on said machine tool. Machine comprises support table (14) configured to support and guide movable component (18) comprising working plane (19) along movement axis (X), on which bending unit (15) is installed. Machine includes clamping devices (16) installed on support table (14). Portable component (18) comprises on working plane (19) rounding unit (30) connected to bending unit (15) and said clamping device (16), installed perpendicular to displacement axis (X). Method includes a wire rod supply step, a bending stage and/or a rounding step and a conveying step matched with the bending and/or rounding step, wherein clamping devices (16, 50) move said wire rod (12) together with said bending units (15) or with said rounding blocks (30).

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of independent bending and rounding of wire rod, improving overall optimization and safety for operators and independent operation of the machine without direct operator intervention.
