SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering; it can be used when supplying rods into a processing unit. A device contains a support plane, on which rods (B, B') are located, unit (19) for gripping of at least one rod from the support plane, broaching unit (46), a rod processing unit located behind broaching unit (46), and supplying unit (33). Supplying unit (33) is located between gripping unit (19) and broaching unit (46) and contains at least supplying element (38). Gripping unit (19) contains at least one clamp (27). Supplying unit (33) is made with the possibility of moving the rod in the direction of supplying to broaching unit (46). At least one position indicator (40, 45) is placed between supplying element (38) and broaching unit (46).
EFFECT: possibility of automated transfer of rods from a support plane to a processing unit is provided.
