FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, particularly, to radar systems. Proposed system comprises housing of closed volume with aggressive medium inside and electronic unit for control and processing of information, which is located at distance from housing of closed volume. On housing of closed volume feeder unit and load equivalent are installed, inside the housing of the closed volume there is a perforated steel pipe and a transmitting linear probe configured to emit electromagnetic signals into the housing of the closed volume and to obtain reflected electromagnetic signals from the surface of the filler. Electronic unit for control and information processing contains the first and second receiving-transmitting modules, time interval analyzer, processor and interface module with interface line. Feeder unit and load equivalent are connected to the first and the second receiving-transmitting modules respectively by means of working and reference waveguide cables providing remote communication and passing through the section of dangerous and safe media. Time interval analyzer is configured to measure the delay time between the emitted and reflected electromagnetic signals in the working and reference waveguide cables and eliminate the error associated with passage of the electromagnetic signals over the extended waveguide communication cables. Processor is configured to calculate level of filler based on information received from time interval analyzer.
EFFECT: providing remote measurement and control of level of filler inside closed volume (for example, level of heat carrier inside reactor).
