FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a carbon-containing material for producing a fuel briquette containing a carbonised biomass of plant origin and binder which includes: i) a water-containing pyrolysis liquid fraction obtained by separation of the pyrolysis liquid with settling, wherein the pyrolysis liquid is formed during pyrolysis of plant biomass, and ii) resinous pyrolysis liquid fraction obtained by separation of pyrolysis liquid with settling, wherein pyrolysis liquid is formed during pyrolysis of plant biomass, wherein the resin fraction is immiscible with the water-containing fraction, wherein the amount of the water-containing fraction with respect to the amount of the resinous fraction ranges from 4.16:1 to 6.25:1 by weight. Also disclosed is fuel briquette for use in fuel furnaces, obtained by moulding and annealing of said carbon-containing material.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining an environmentally friendly fuel briquette from plant biomass having adequate mechanical strength and calorific value, capable of replacing traditional coal-based coke.
