FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a fuel briquette from plant biomass, comprising steps of: i) providing a biomass of plant origin; ii) pyrolysis of vegetal origin biomass to obtain carbonised biomass and pyrolysis liquid; iii) separating the pyrolysis liquid into a water-containing fraction and a resin fraction, wherein the resin fraction is immiscible with the water-containing fraction; iv) forming the mixture by mixing the carbonised biomass with the water-containing fraction and the resinous fraction of the pyrolysis liquid; v) moulding charge into briquette; vi) annealing the charge briquette, wherein at stage iv) forming the charge comprises: mixing carbonized biomass with water-containing fraction of pyrolysis liquid to obtain a first mixture; mixing the first mixture with the resinous fraction of the pyrolysis liquid to obtain a charge.

EFFECT: technical result of present invention consists in production by ecologically and economically effective method of vegetal origin biomass briquette, having proper mechanical strength and calorific capacity, capable of replacing traditional coke based on hard coal.
