FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of distributed control systems (DCS), in particular, to a method of dividing the risk of failure of a pair of automatic processors (AP). Method of dividing the risk of failure of a pair of AP of a DCS system comprises collecting analogue and discrete signals, in which the control system of the DCS system includes logic operations and execution of signals. In case of AP failure, when analogue signal with discrete signal is not in one AP, analogue signal output takes value - 0, and signal converted to discrete changes state by -1. DCS decides to send an analogue significant digit signal to a module which performs the function of converting the signal from an analogue signal into a discrete one. In DCS the resulting analogue signals are formed by "two of three" or "one of two" logic.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of power unit operation, reduction of unloading or unplanned shutdown of reactor.
