FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Position of the ophthalmic applicator (OA) is determined in brachytherapy of eye fundus neoplasms, marking of the tumor border on the sclera. Center of the projection of the focus is determined under the control of reverse ophthalmoscopy by a light guide curved in the shape of an eyeball by diaphanoscopy. Further, the end of the light guide is used to perform sclerocompression in the area of the previously found center of the projection of focus for 15 seconds before the point of scleral buckling, and the eyeball is rotated in two rectus muscles by traction of previously applied ligatures. No later than 60 seconds marking with dye of point of scleral buckling. Thereafter, OA is fixed to sclera in marking area.

EFFECT: method enables accurate determination of the OA position in brachytherapy of eye fundus neoplasms with no possibility of localizing the sclera surface and reducing the number of post-radicular complications.
