FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. To close an iris defect after removal of the iridociliary tumour, an iridocular diaphragm (ICD) is first implanted with no more than three haptic elements, avoiding contact of the haptic elements of the ISS with the area preceding the tumour removal operation. That is followed by closed iridoplasty, wherein one nodal suture is applied in the area of the pupil, juxtaposing the pupillary sphincter muscle edges for its formation.
EFFECT: method reduces a risk of intra- and postoperative complications, minimizes undesirable visual effects due to recovery of diaphragmatic function, prevents occurrence of recurrent tumour process.
