FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, particularly to methods of determining content of organic chlorine in oil extracted from wells after hydrochloric acid treatment. Method for determining content of organic chlorine in oil after hydrochloric acid treatments involves extraction of oil, distillation of oil in order to obtain a fraction of oil boiling down to temperature of 204 °C, naphtha, washing naphtha from hydrogen sulphide and determining content of organic chlorine, wherein after oil extraction it is subjected to separation under action of centrifugal force field, obtained oil is washed with distilled water at temperature of 80–90 °C at ratio of oil and distilled water of 1:3, wherein washing is carried out for 10–15 minutes at least three times to achieve pH of washing distilled water of at least 6, after which oil is dehydrated and fed for distillation to obtain naphtha.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of determining content of organic chlorine in oil after hydrochloric acid treatments, as well as excluding the effect of hydrochloric acid on formation of organochlorine compounds.
