FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry, in particular to methods of determining stability of chemical reagents used in oil production system, to decomposition with formation of volatile organochloride compounds. Method for determining stability of chemical reagents used in oil production system, to decomposition with formation of volatile organochloride compounds involves determining organic chlorine content in naphtha, wherein pre-chemical reagent used in oil production system is analyzed for content of total chlorine by X-ray fluorescence analysis and content of organic chlorine by chromatography-mass spectrometry, method includes analyzing an initial oil sample with a weight ratio of water of not more than 1 % per content of organic chlorine, and then determining resistance of chemical reagent to decomposition, for this purpose preparing an artificial water-oil emulsion by emulsification of mineralized water and initial oil sample, chemical reagent is added to prepared artificial water-oil emulsion in dosage corresponding to specific consumption of chemical reagent in oil production system, mixing to produce mixture of water-oil emulsion with chemical reagent, dehydrating the water-oil emulsion mixture with the chemical reagent, the obtained oil is subjected to distillation in order to distill naphtha, after determining content of organic chlorine in naphtha, evaluating resistance of chemical reagent to decomposition as increment of content of organic chlorine in naphtha distilled from oil, obtained after dehydration of emulsion treated with reagent, relative to content of organic chlorine in naphtha of initial oil sample.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of determining stability of chemical reagents used in oil production system, to decomposition with formation of highly volatile organochloride compounds.
