FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for identifying at least one glycoform and/or transferrin isoform in various types of complex biological media. To this end, the analyzed biological fluid is brought into contact with lanthanide 3+ ion source. Obtained derivatives of carbohydrate-deficient transferrin with lanthanide ions 3+ are analyzed by HPLC or CE using a fluorescent detector.
EFFECT: invention provides a reliable and sensitive method of determining carbohydrate-deficient transferrin in blood serum, blood plasma, in cerebrospinal fluid, vitreous fluid or saliva for diagnosing the clinical/toxicological state of the patient.
