FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for continuous production of 2-methylallyl alcohol, which is used as a monomer when producing polymers, synthetic resins and perfume-cosmetic products. Method includes the following steps: (1) adding a solution of sodium acetate and 2-methylallyl chloride to sodium hydroxide in a multi-stage continuous reactor with a stirring device for directly producing 2-methylallyl alcohol, wherein the number of stages of the multistage reactor with a stirrer is from 6 to 15, the amount of sodium acetate is 6–10 mol per 1 mol of 2-methylallyl chloride, the addition amount of sodium hydroxide is controlled so that the pH of the reaction mixture was 9–11, temperature of reaction mixture in multi-stage continuous reactor with mixing device is 100–120 °C; (2) separation of reaction mixture leaving reactor branch pipe nozzle, after a continuous reaction to obtain the desired product - 2-methylallyl alcohol, as well as crystalline sodium chloride, regenerated water and sodium acetate solution; (3) recycling regenerated water and sodium acetate solution into the cycle.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain an end product of good quality with high output without formation of waste water.
