FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of flake-like powdered tantalum for use in a high-frequency capacitor. First heat treatment of flaky tantalum powder at temperature in range of 1200–1600 °C is carried out. Then one performs first deoxidation of powdered tantalum subjected to first heat treatment at temperature in range of 700–1000 °C. Then low-temperature nitration of powdered tantalum subjected to first deoxidation is performed. Then, second heat treatment of powdered tantalum subjected to low-temperature nitriding is carried out at temperature 1200–1600 °C.

EFFECT: production of flake-like tantalum powder containing nitrogen in amount of 300 to 1800 ppm.
