SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of extracting lithium from an aqueous salt solution. Method is implemented using a composition in form of particles containing a set of resin granules and LiX·2Al(OH)3·nH2O, where n is equal to 0–10, and X is halogen. Resin granules contain a polymer containing from 0.5 to 3 equivalents of side amino groups per liter of the composition in form of particles. Resin granules are characterized by average pore diameter making 5 to 100 nm. Set of resin granules is characterized by average harmonic particle diameter of 200–1000 mcm and surface area of 20–150 m2/g. Aluminum is present in amount of 14.5 % or more by weight of aluminum atoms in terms of total weight of the composition in form of particles.
EFFECT: method increases removal of lithium from salt solution with possibility of regeneration of resin.
