METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTING EXTENDED DISTRIBUTED ACCESS PARAMETERS FOR A CHANNEL FOR DIFFERENT STATIONS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H04W74/00

Abstract RU 2734861 C2

FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: method of selecting channel access parameters for communication in a network comprises steps of: selecting in first wireless device a first parameter of extended distributed access to channel (EDCA) for communication by first subset of wireless devices, which are unable to transmit multi-user uplink transmissions. First EDCA parameter comprises at least one of first minimum conflict interval (CWmin), first maximum conflict interval (CWmax), first transmission limit (TXOP limit) or first arbitration inter-frame interval (AIFS). Selecting in first device a second EDCA parameter for communication by second subset of wireless devices, comprising at least one of second CWmin, different from the first CWmin, the second CWmax, different from the first CWmax, the second TXOR limit, different from the first TXOR limit, or the second AIFS, different from the first AIFS.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in improvement of carrying capacity of a communication network.
