FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a solution for operating an injection system comprising a pressure unit and at least one feed unit for feeding a medical fluid into the injector unit, wherein the feeding unit comprises at least one container for accommodating the medical fluid, a delivery system in fluid communication with the reservoir and the delivery unit, for delivering a medical fluid to a patient and a clamping means associated with the delivery system to control the flow of the medical fluid through the delivery system. Method comprises the steps of: actuating the injector unit until the first injection procedure is completed; maintaining the injection system in a ready state before the second injection procedure is started, and actuating the injector unit until the second injection procedure is completed. Step of supporting the injection system in a ready state involves a step of exposing the clamping means to unclamp the delivery system.
EFFECT: method of operating an injection system is disclosed.
