FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric transport, namely to power semiconductor rectifying installations of single-phase alternating current excitation, which performs conversion of alternating current of industrial frequency to constant one. This power semi-conductor rectifying unit of excitation (RUE) of single-phase alternating-current is intended for supply of excitation windings of traction electric motors (TED) of electric transport in mode of recuperative braking. Technical result is achieved due to that excitation rectifier in contrast to existing analogues (prototypes) allows complete control of supply voltage in excitation windings of traction motors in regenerative braking mode due to use of modern semiconductor devices of IGBT-transistors or other fully controlled electronic switches forming fully controllable power arm, which is connected in series to diode half-wave bridge rectifier or full-wave rectifier with middle point, wherein control of the RUE in the regenerative braking mode is carried out using a control method, comprising switching on and off IGBT transistors by supplying a control signal which is controlled from the middle of half-period to zero and π, wherein rate of change of width of pulse towards zero and π can be identical or different. Width of pulse is selected proceeding from required excitation current in traction motors. At that excitation current maintenance during excitation rectifier excitation moments from traction transformer is performed by means of operation of reverse diode connected parallel to excitation windings of traction motors.

EFFECT: increased power factor of electric transport of single-phase alternating current in the mode of recuperative braking, and also increased operational reliability of transport facility.
