UNIVERSAL MODEL OF IRIDOLENTICULAR DIAPHRAGM FOR SEAMLESS FIXATION IN PROJECTION OF CILIARY SULCUS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F2/14

Abstract RU 2735379 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. Artificial iridolenticular diaphragm (AID) for seamless transscleral fixation consists of a round optical part in the form of a positive lens and a coloured haptic part (HP). At the same time, the HP is made of elastic material in the form of a coloured ring with closed support elements (SE) located along the periphery and capable of bending in the plane of the coloured ring. SEs are located at the same angular distance from each other. T-shaped element (TE) consisting of longitudinal and transverse parts extends from edge of each SE radially outward. Transverse part is located distally to the longitudinal part, and the longitudinal axis of the TE coincides with the axis of symmetry of the SE. Length of TE lengthwise part makes 1.5 mm, length of transverse part is 2.0 mm, TE width is 0.2 mm, thickness is 0.2 mm, each TE is made of elastic polymorphic material, on periphery of each SE, along axis of symmetry, is made hole with diameter of 1 mm. In the particular case, the elasticity of the material of the elastic element exceeds the elasticity of the material of the coloured ring. In the particular case, the AID comprises a bead along the periphery of the coloured ring. In a particular case, the thickness of the coloured ring is 0.1-0.4 mm. In particular case thickness of SE is not more than 0.6 mm.

EFFECT: device enables reducing the possibility of developing intra- and postoperative complications, reducing the length of the operation, providing reliable and prolonged seamless fixation of the AID in the ciliary sulcus area, which enables reducing the length of rehabilitation of patients and widening the range of indications for implantation of artificial AID.
