FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Iridolenticular diaphragm (ILD) for seamless transscleral fixation consists of a round optical part in the form of a positive lens and a colored haptic part (HP), made in the form of a ring, a concentric optical part. At that, HP is additionally equipped with three elastic support elements (SE) located at equal distance from each other, each of which is made in the form of a lance. At the base of each SE in HP there are two slit-like slots, starting from the base SE edge towards the ILD center, located parallel to each other and symmetrically relative to the SE longitudinal axis, 2.5 mm long, 0.1–0.2 mm wide; on the longitudinal axis of each SE, in its proximal portion, there is a circular opening.
EFFECT: improved ILD structure improves visualization of SE ILD, simplifies manipulation inside the eye to achieve its stable, central position in the posterior eye chamber and reliable fixation in the area of the ciliary furrow.
