SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a method and apparatus for producing labelled cellulose acetate fibres contained in cigarettes, a method of detecting information contained in a nucleotide sequence of an information element (embodiments), a method of producing tow bale, cellulose acetate fibre, a tow or tow bale, a filter and a cigarette. Method of producing labelled cellulose acetate fibres involves providing fibres, depositing a polynucleotide marker on fibres, where the polynucleotide encodes information. Apparatus comprises a transportation system for transporting fibres in the direction of the polynucleotide marker delivery apparatus, which comprises an outlet for depositing a solution with a polynucleotide marker on the fibres. Detection method involves obtaining a sample of labelled fibres and analysis thereof for identifying a nucleotide sequence and detecting an information element. Proposed method comprises preparing labelled fibres, harness tow bale and packing. Tow or tow bale, filter and cigarette contain labelled cellulose acetate fibres using said method.

EFFECT: invention provides a mark for products resistant to physical damage and biological disintegration.
