SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Described is a polynucleotide for hybridization with nucleotide probe used for detecting target nucleic acid, having a first polynucleotide segment contiguous with a second polynucleotide segment that is downstream to the first, wherein the sequence of the first polynucleotide segment is complementary to the sequence of a first probe segment of a probe for detection of a target nucleic acid, wherein the sequence of the second polynucleotide segment is complementary to the sequence of a second probe segment of the probe, wherein the second probe segment is downstream to the first probe segment. Disclosed is a composition and a kit for detecting target nucleic acid containing the described polynucleotide and probe. Described is a method of determining presence of target nucleic acid in a sample using the described polynucleotide.

EFFECT: may be employed with dual-labeled probes (DLPs) in assays for the detection of the target nucleic acid sequences.
