FIELD: electric testing technique.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical tests technique and can be used for quality control of wires insulation. Summary: in sensor for continuous monitoring of wires insulation corona electrode is made of electroconductive ring, on the inner surface of which there are radially arranged electroconductive microfilaments with a pointed end, uniformly distributed along the inner generatrix of the ring, which axes are perpendicular to the axis of the monitored wire. Sharpened ends of microfilaments lie on circle, diameter D of which is connected to diameter of controlled wire d by ratio d ≤ D ≤ 1.2d. Ring is equipped with through holes, opposite to which there are ultraviolet light-emitting diodes, fixed on dielectric ring enveloping ring of corona electrode and mechanically connected to it by dielectric ties.
EFFECT: lower control voltage, broader functional capabilities, high resolution, information content and accuracy of monitoring.
