FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology for electrical testing and can be used to monitor the quality of insulation of wires in the process of manufacturing windings of electrical products therefrom. The invention constitutes an apparatus for monitoring the defect rate of the insulation of winding wires, containing a sensor electrode, a differential amplifier, a switch apparatus, a defect counter, a defect length counter, a speed sensor, a speed pulse shaper, the speed sensor is connected to the input of the defect length counter via the speed pulse shaper, introduced are a second switch apparatus, a monitored wire length counter, a counter for the total amount of defects, a counter for the total length of defects, a counter of the amount of defects introduced by the equipment, a direct stabilised current source, a trigger pulse shaper, a peak detector with a reset circuit, an analogue-to-digital converter, a comparison and memory block, a coincidence circuit, a standby multivibrator, and a resistor.
EFFECT: provided possibility of selective control of input and process defects.
