FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical testing methods and can be used for quality control of wire insulation. Sensor for continuous monitoring of wire insulation contains housing, accommodating dielectric base for placement of sensor components. Sensor also has two metal rockers, two springs, two sliding contacts, two outputs for connection of power supply, two guide bushings. Sensor working element is made in form of two identical freely rotating rollers, which working part is made from conductive rubber. At forming surfaces of rollers are made grooves, serving for fixation and restriction of movement of wire in transverse direction. Rollers are pressed against each other by their forming surfaces by means of compression springs. Supply voltage to working surfaces of rollers is supplied by sliding contacts.
EFFECT: technical result is higher resolution and accuracy of insulation control.
