FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to mineral fibers having a chemical composition which includes the following components, in wt%: SiO2 57.0–60.0; CaO 25.0–30.0; MgO more than 8.0–10.0; B2O3 2.5–6.0; R2O up to 2.5, Al2O3 0–2.0 wherein R2O/B2O3 with molar ratio of 0.20 to 0.60. Fibers are intended for production of heat-insulation fire protection products in the form of rolled materials or panels containing not more than 10 wt% binder.

EFFECT: high fire-resistance of fibers while maintaining their bio-solubility.
