FIELD: communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in wireless communication systems. To this end, a method of transmitting data between a base station and a terminal device in a wireless communication system based, e.g., on a LTE system, is described. Wireless communication system uses a plurality of subframes comprising a plurality of symbols. Physical layer control information for the terminal device is transmitted from the base station using the first group of symbols in the subframe. However, higher-level data for a terminal device are transmitted using a second group of symbols in a subframe, wherein number of symbols in second group of symbols is less than number of subframe symbols available for transfer of higher level data to other terminal devices. Terminal device knows the second group of symbols, and therefore needs to process data only inside this second group of symbols during periods when data of higher level are transmitted.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of carrying capacity, due to that control information of physical level is transmitted in first group of symbols, but requires sufficient memory and processing efficiency only for processing a limited group of symbols for data of a higher level.
