FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to methods, systems and devices for allocating resources for communication and transmission of data in mobile telecommunication systems. Network element is configured to provide a wireless access interface for data transmission to and/or from mobile communication devices, wireless access interface is configured to provide downlink host carrier, wherein said host carrier is configured to provide a plurality of resource elements in a first frequency range; data transmission for a first group of mobile communication devices, so that said data are allocated to said plurality of resource elements in entire frequency range; providing virtual carrier by means of said wireless access interface, wherein said virtual carrier is configured to provide one or more resource elements in a second frequency range, located within first frequency range and smaller than said first frequency range; data transmission for a second group of mobile communication devices on virtual carrier and providing virtual carrier, so that second frequency range has a width equal to or more than 1 resource block, but less than 100 resource blocks.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of using devices, having simpler configuration of hardware in networks, supporting use of data transmission in accordance with LTE standard.
