SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlling articles, for example meat pieces, is provided with a transportation control mechanism having a transportation control element configured to allow passage of an article, height of which is less than or equal to a predetermined height, and receiving an object whose height exceeds a predetermined height, to prevent further movement of the object to the downstream side in the conveying direction. Transport control mechanism shifts the transportation control element using a predetermined displacement force to a control position corresponding to a predetermined height, and supports the transportation control element in such a way that enabling the transportation control element to retreat upwards on the downstream side in the transportation direction, by applying an external force greater than a predetermined displacement force, and which enables the transport control element to return to said control position by stopping the action of the external force.

EFFECT: device makes it possible to separate stuck objects from each other and to transport them separately.
