FIELD: transport engineering; steering systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed control system contains control unit which takes signals from engine speed governor, speed and steering hydraulic motor sense of rotation pickups and signals to control steering gear. If steering gear control signals indicate that steering wheel is turned in direction opposite to direction of rotation of steering hydraulic motor, control unit forms and stores first value of ratio characterizing ratio of steering hydraulic motor speed to steering hydraulic booster pump speed. Then, if signal which controls steering gear has not changed at a lapse of definite time, control unit forms and stores second value of ratio characterizing following ratio of steering hydraulic motor speed to speed of pump of steering hydraulic booster. Then control unit calculates difference characterizing difference between first and second values of ratio and generates error signal, if value of difference is less than preset value. Invention makes it possible to reveal failures in steering system and prevents turning of vehicle without order of driver.
EFFECT: improved reliability of steering.
