SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic device containing a battery and a heater for heating said battery. One or both of the battery and heater are movably mounted in the device. The battery and the heater are movable relative to each other between a close position and a remote position, with the close position different from the remote position. The invention further relates to an aerosol generating system comprising an aerosol generating article and an electronic device, and to a method for heating a battery in the electronic device.
