SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol-generating unit. Aerosol generating assembly can contain a reservoir in which the aerosol precursor composition is found, and an atomiser which receives the aerosol precursor composition from the reservoir and heats it to form an aerosol. Besides, the aerosol-generating unit may contain a body which directs the aerosol through the outlet hole. Body can contain a surface containing a microstructure providing at least one of hydrophobic and antimicrobial properties. Surface containing microstructure may not contain chemical coating providing these properties. Instead, the surface can form a three-dimensional structure which provides hydrophobic and/or antimicrobial properties. Besides, the corresponding assembly method is proposed.

EFFECT: disclosed is an aerosol generating assembly comprising a microstructure surface.
