FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a microscale reactor with swirled streams of reagent solutions and method of its operation and can be used in chemical and other technologies, including for production of nanosized particles. Microreactor comprises housing, two and more branch pipes for supply of initial components and branch pipe for product removal. Body has the shape of a cylinder with a cover changing into a conical confuser with a neck in a narrow part and subsequent conical expansion in the form of a diffuser, with an outlet in the form of a branch pipe for product discharge. One of the branch pipes is installed in the cover coaxially to the housing and the end of this branch pipe is made in the form of a nozzle the cut of which is located in the neck zone. Other branch pipes are installed tangentially on the cylindrical part of the case. In implementing the method, reagent solutions are fed into tangential branch pipes at individual flow rates, providing peripheral flow swirling rate in the neck area in range of 15–25 m/s, and inert gas is fed into nozzle installed coaxially with housing, with flow rate providing formation of gas bubbles in neck zone.
EFFECT: disclosed device and method provide expansion of functional characteristics of apparatus, high efficiency of apparatus and high selectivity of process and purity of product.
