FIELD: hydropneumatic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydropneumatic equipment and can be used in creation of compact and high-cost piston high-pressure compressors. Method of operation of the unit consists in that, when feeding liquid into the cavity of the gas cylinder, its live cross-section first increases from the minimum stroke of mid stroke to the pump piston, and then reduced to value corresponding to flow section of pressure gas valve. Prior to gas compression in gas chamber it can be pre-compressed in additional gas chamber. Hydropneumatic unit comprises piston liquid pump 1 with working cavity 2 and crank-and-rod drive 3 of piston 4. Working cavity 2 is connected with heat exchanger 6 and further with gas cylinder 7 with suction 8 and discharge valves 9. Working cavity 10 of gas cylinder 7 is made in form of spindle symmetrical relative to its cross-section, lower end 11 of which directly through channel 5 is connected to working cavity 2 of liquid pump 1, and valves 8 and 9 are installed in zone of upper end 12 of working cavity 10. During production of the piston differential there is an additional compressor cavity compressing the gas, which then is compressed in the gas cavity by liquid.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of compression process, elimination of gas leaks.
