FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a wedge mechanism for a through system. Wedge mechanism comprises first wedge element (1), second wedge element (2), third wedge element (3) and fourth wedge element (4). First and second wedge elements (1, 2) are arranged to move towards each other and from each other. Third and fourth wedge elements (3, 4) are arranged on opposite sides of first and second wedge elements (1, 2), adjacent to first and second wedge elements (1, 2) along inclined surfaces. Wedge elements (1, 2, 3, 4) and inclined surfaces are arranged so that the third and fourth wedge elements (3, 4) move in direction from each other, when first and second wedge elements (1, 2) move towards each other, and third and fourth wedge elements (3, 4) move towards each other when first and second wedge elements (1, 2) move in direction from each other.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of a wedge mechanism for a through system, which is easier to operate during its actuation and deactivation; besides, facilitation of both achievement of required compression force, and determination of its achievement.
