FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering, in particular, to the DC power supply systems. During power transmission three or more wires are simultaneously used, at least at least one wire is connected to one of power supply poles, which operates in overcurrent mode, wherein at least two wires are connected to another pole of power supply, which operates in partial current loading mode, wires are switched so that for period of time, duration of which is not less than three time constants of transient process of charging smoothing capacitor, each of power transmission line wires is in current overload mode equal to share of period.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of long-term permissible current and transmission capacity of multi-wire power transmission line.
