SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of fish skin for various purposes and range. Method for production of fish skin includes soaking, removal of scales from skin surface, liming, deliming, softening, degreasing, pickling, tanning, ageing, decolouration, dyeing, greasing and hydrophobization, wherein decolouration is carried out not before degreasing and not later than pickling. In degreasing, Na lauryl sulphate and synthanol are used. Deliming step is carried out in the presence of adipic acid for 4–8 hours. Pickling operation is performed in two stages: at the first stage, the skin is salted in a saturated aqueous solution of table salt, and at the second stage it is treated with acid. Tanning step consists of a preliminary step, on which glutaric aldehyde is used, after which synthetic tannins, Eurosyntan D2 and Eurosyntan M2 are introduced, and the main step, on which synthetic or natural tanning substances are used. Method of producing fish skin in second version provides for liming combined with degreasing.

EFFECT: disclosed methods for producing fish skin enable to obtain high-quality non-toxic fish skin without a characteristic "fishy odor" with the ability to produce fish skin in any color.
