FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine patient's arterial pressure. To determine arterial pressure, the following actions are performed: determining minimum values for cuff oscillations during blood pressure measurement. Obtained data are approximated by analytical relationship at reduction section. Deflection point of said curve is determined. At the inflection point a tangent is built. Building two horizontal lines: the first one—by the average value in the section corresponding to the pressure in cuff of 20–40 mm Hg, the second one—by minimum value of minimum values of oscillations at the section to the right of inflection point. Abscissa of the point of intersection of the tangent line and the first straight line determines the diastolic pressure Pd. Abscissa of the point of intersection of the tangent line and the second straight line determines the average pressure Pav. Systolic pressure Pc is calculated by formula: Pc = Pd + 2 (Psr − Pd).
EFFECT: invention provides sufficiently accurate measurement of arterial pressure.
