FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for measuring and analyzing the state of the arterial vascular system by the pulse waveform recorded by the oscillometric method, and performing the screening diagnostics of the arterial vascular system state. An occlusion test is performed by applying a cuff on the forearm. Diastolic and systolic pressure is recorded. Pulse wave amplitude versus time is measured. 10 minutes after recording diastolic and systolic pressures, air pressure is injected to diastolic pressure. Dependence of pulse wave amplitude on time is measured for 10 seconds and the first amplitude index is determined. Then pressurized to 30–40 mm Hg higher than systolic pressure and maintained for 2–3 minutes, pressure in cuff is reduced to diastolic pressure and pulse wave amplitude versus time is measured for 10 seconds, and second amplitude index is determined. Values of amplitude values are compared, and if the value of the second amplitude index decreases relative to the first one, the presence of endothelial dysfunction of arterial vessels is evaluated. Amplitude index P3 is determined by original design formula.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of rapid determination of endothelial dysfunction of arterial vessels by a non-invasive method at early stages of the disease due to vascular diagnostics in the form of a pulse wave before and after the occlusion test.
