FIELD: hygiene; cosmetic industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an antiperspirant/deodorant composition comprising a base composition comprising a carrier medium comprising a polyhydric alcohol or a mixture of a polyhydric alcohol and water, where the polyatomic alcohol comprises an organic compound containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms and 2 to 6 hydroxy groups; thickener containing C14-22 fatty acid salt, where fatty acid C14-22 salt contains at least one of myristic, palmitic, stearic, behenic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids and one or more counterions, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, diethylamine, triethylamine; antiperspirant active substance, where antiperspirant active substance actually consists of zinc-based antiperspirant active substance, and where zinc-based antiperspirant active substance contains zinc oxide particles present in amount of 5 to 10 wt % based on total weight of antiperspirant/deodorant composition, and where antiperspirant/deodorant composition substantially does not contain magnesium-based active substances, and where the antiperspirant/deodorant composition when applied on the axillary region of the human can increase zinc substantivity on the skin surface, higher resistance to hydrostatic pressure present in flow channels and/or reduced visible residue.

EFFECT: disclosed are antiperspirant/deodorant compositions which do not contain aluminum.
