SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to personal care products. Personal care composition contains an antiperspirant obtained by combining zinc chloride and sodium hexametaphosphate and an aqueous solvent; while the relative amount of zinc chloride and sodium hexametaphosphate provides a molar ratio of phosphorus and zinc of at least 6:1, and the antiperspirant remains soluble in water while maintaining it at pH 5.4 and temperature 25 °C in the absence of proteins and antiperspirant precipitates upon contact with the surfaces of the biological material on the skin or hair of the subject, as determined when testing the properties of precipitation from a solution in water at 37 °C and pH value of 7.4 in the presence of 1 % by weight of bovine serum albumin protein. Method for applying zinc to the skin and/or hair of a subject is also disclosed, including providing a composition for personal hygiene and applying the composition on the skin and/or hair of a subject.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides prevention of excretion or reduction of the amount of sweat coming from the skin.
