SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to oral care. Composition for oral care comprises a saturated solution of a soluble zinc polyphosphate complex, where the ingredients of the complex contain zinc chloride and sodium hexametaphosphate, where the relative amount of zinc chloride and sodium hexametaphosphate provides a molar ratio of phosphorus to zinc, ranging from 6:1 to 20:1. Also disclosed is a method of treating dentin sensitivity in a subject, involving application of composition on teeth and gums.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides reduced sensitivity of dentin by blocking dentinal tubules.
