FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of modified disperse fillers used in making lacquer and composite materials. Described is a method for chemical modification of micromica with covalent immobilization of functional groups. Micromica is treated with a solution of functionalised trialkoxysilane with concentration of 7-16 vol%. in anhydrous aromatic solvent at temperature of 100-125 °C for 6-12 hours. Micromica is then separated from the silane solution, washed with a hot solvent for 6-18 hours until the sorption-fixed functionalised trialkoxy silanes are removed and dried for 2 hours at 100°C.

EFFECT: obtaining chemically modified micromica with high concentration of covalently immobilized functional groups, as well as improved physical and chemical properties of composite materials based on epoxy resins when used as filler for composite materials.
