FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to the annealing of welded annular joints of a pipeline made of thin-sheet titanium alloy, it can be used in aerospace, shipbuilding and other industries. The method for zonal annealing of welded annular joints of a pipeline made of thin-sheet titanium alloy includes induction heating of the welded joint zone to the annealing temperature, exposure and cooling in the zone of action of a protective inert gas. On the pipeline section with a welded annular seam, clamp detachable copper current-conducting and heat-conducting rings are installed at a distance of 10-30 mm from the weld axis, limiting the heating zone and forming a chamber into which a protective inert gas is fed. Then, heating is carried out to an annealing temperature of 450-550°C at a speed of 2-10°C/min, and exposure is carried out for 2-5 minutes in an atmosphere of inert gas.
EFFECT: invention provides structural strength, high plasticity and reliability of welded joints, as well as high resistance of the welded joint to brittle fracture.
