FIELD: electron-beam working of materials, possibly manufacture of parts of titanium alloys, namely in aerospace, power and chemical machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of fastening parts prepared for welding in special attachment and performing electron-beam welding; after cooling welded parts by means of electron beam scanning along several paths at different oscillation frequencies, realizing high temperature heat treatment; placing heating zone on base metal in parallel with welded seam; heating until temperature α → β conversion of titanium alloy at heating rate no more than 15° C/s; scanning by means of electron beam along heating zone and simultaneously along circular path. Oscillation frequency along circular path exceeds by order oscillation frequency along heating zone. Zonal high temperature treatment provides homogenization of structure, decomposition of metastable α'-phase, stress relaxation, metal degassing and redistribution of hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen in welded joint.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded joint.
