SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for preparing a preparation of a probiotic enteric microorganism Eubacterium hallii, E. hallii preparation, as well as to a method for stimulating the formation of butyric acid in the intestine of a mammal. Method of producing E. hallii preparation comprises providing medium containing 1–100 g/kg of sugar, 1–100 g/kg of nitrogen source and growth factors, 0.1–50 g/kg of vegetal peptone, acetate, buffer system with pH 6–8, inoculation of said E. hallii medium, providing its growth and E. hallii preparation. Produced preparation E. hallii is suitable for prevention or treatment of insulin resistance and/or complications related to insulin resistance, lactic acidosis, short-bowel syndrome or inflammatory intestinal disease, colorectal cancer or colitis, stimulates formation of butyric acid in the intestine of a mammal.

EFFECT: inventions provide high yields of Eubacterium hallii biomass and production of Eubacterium hallii preparation suitable for human oral administration.
