FIELD: biotechnology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drug and protein conjugates and methods for preparing them. Conjugate of drug and protein for drug delivery is produced by interaction of globular protein, linker and drug, where the linker includes a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic aromatic ring which includes a vinyl substitute of formula 
(III). Methods for preparing a conjugate of a drug and protein include contacting the protein with a drug-related linker, or contact of the protein with the linker and subsequent contact of the linker with the drug.
EFFECT: invention provides selective and effective conjugation, and also leads to significant reduction of the level of "additional" DAR species and to reduction of the level of unconjugated globular proteins; conjugate retains more drug due to linker stability for a longer period of time.
